Hon'ble Dr. Justice Ravi Ranjan (born December 20, 1960) is a retired Indian jurist who served as the 13th Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court. A former Patna High Court judge and acting Chief Justice, he holds a Ph.D. in Geology and practiced law from 1990, specializing in constitutional and civil matters before his elevation to the bench. He has done LL.B. from Patna Law College, Patna University in 1989. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Science (Geology). He served as Additional Standing Counsel (1997) and Senior Standing Counsel for the Union of India, later re-designated as Assistant Solicitor General of India.
