Mr. Saurabh Profile
Mr. Saurabh began his journey at Patna Law College, Patna University, as an Assistant Professor in 2018. Currently, he holds the positions of Co-ordinator of IQAC, NSS Programme Officer and Convenor of Sports and Cultural Committee at the institution. Concurrently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. from the University Department of Law at Patna University, starting in 2020 on the topic, ‘Legal Protection to the Ecosystem of Specific Areas of Bihar and its Relationship with Geographical Indications (GIs). Earlier, he has served as the Bursar of the college. Mr. Saurabh achieved success in the UGC-NET examination in 2013 and 2015, earning the JRF designation in the later. He holds an LL.M from the Faculty of Legal Studies at South Asian University (SAU), Delhi, completed from 2012 to 2014, and a B.A.LL.B from New Law College, Bharati Vidyapeeth University (B.V.U.), Pune, from 2005 to 2010.
With over five years of teaching experience, Mr. Saurabh has exhibited a steadfast commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and academic service. His areas of specialization encompass Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, International Human Rights Law, Refugee Law, and related fields.
Before assuming his current role, Mr. Saurabh practiced at Delhi High Court and served as a Guest Faculty at the Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia. His scholarly contributions are notable, including publications such as “Sustainable Development: A New Approach Towards Mitigation of The Conflict Between Development and Environment through the Lens of Indian Judiciary” in the Indian Journal of Law and Legal Research, and “Environmental Protection of Outer Space in Context of Space Pollution” in Global Thoughts and Opinions. These publications undergo rigorous peer review and are indexed in reputable databases such as Manupatra, Google Scholar, Hein Online, and ROAD. He also presented an article titled “Geographical Indication and Environment Protection: A New Concept of Sustainable Development”, at an Online National Conference organized by National Law University (NLU), Assam, which was also later on published. Additionally, he delivered a presentation on “GI And Its Significance in Vocational Education under NEP 2020” at a Multi-Disciplinary National Seminar organized by Kampura College, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.
